The Liz Ogumbo Dress-a-croch cocktail

The setting was just perfect. The lighting was just enough to set the mood right; a laid-back jazz-y kind of feel. Guests started streaming in at about 7.30 all coming to celebrate the ‘Dress-a-croch' collection by Imani Fashion House. Family, friends and various people from the ‘it' crowd; likes of Emo Kule, dressed in the strict dress code colours; red, orange, black and/or white; the main colours of the ‘dress-a-croch' collection which was also shown at the South Africa Fashion Week in Johannesburg. Some guests were wearing the pieces they had ordered from the collection. At the door was, a stand serving the guests free glasses of sangria and baileys and two scouts from the fashion house to welcome the guests.

Once seated, the guests were served with snacks by The Clubarn. Entertainment was provided by a live girl band; a drummer, a keyboardist, a bassist, a guitarist and two backup musicians. All models from the Imani International Modeling Management who wore different pieces from the ‘dress-a-croch' collection. Liz Ogumbo, the founder and director of Imani International Modeling Management and Fashion House was the lead vocalist of the sensational Girl Band. The performance was breath taking and all the guests were just blown away. The astounding musician, Harry Kimani, even got on stage to do a little ‘collabo' with the girls. After a couple of hours of nice afro-fusion jazz music, a number of glasses of Baileys, Sangrias and cocktails and a few rounds of hors d'oeuvres, the event came to an end at a high note. Slowly the guests started leaving but after congratulating Liz Ogumbo for the marvelous staging.
