WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR?
hope 2Like Marrian Williamson states, "Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure, it is our light nor our darkness that most frighten us.''

What do you feel like doing when you wake up in the morning to a new bright day that was never even promised?

Do you just jump out of bed, say a prayer, take a shower, put on your grey suit and black shoes, grab coffee and head to your 8:00-to-5:00?

When the day is over, sit in traffic, pass by and pick up some chips or pizza then sit get home, eat and glue yourself on DSTV till you get up in a scare in the wee hours of the morning and realise you have a few hours to freshen up and start the routine all over again??

...Or....

Do you laze in bed for another 2 hours after your alarm goes on, flip the channels though and through until you dose off again 2hours later, and when your day finally begins, it is over before it began!

Why do we get so caught up in our own comfort zone we have a choice to alter and make more lifestyle-friendly. How long do you sit on an 8:00-5:00 job for 15 years and blame the world for not allowing you to kick-start your power? Your dream? Your passion?

Are we not supposed to work our way into sooner than later, shaping life into what we have always dreamed of? What efforts do we put in really? And if we do not put in the effort and make changes when we need to because we are comfortable, who is to blame 20 years later when you look at your achievements in life and you cannot find them?

Seriously, are you living for "them?" Or is it about you? When they retire and only fly around the world in and out of board meetings, where are you?

Some of you have said their is no opportunity! How can there be no opportunity when there is you? There is no other opportunity but YOU and you have the power to push yourself beyond measure. Like R. Kelly sang it, I believe that I can fly too and so can you! just make sure you fly once you beleive!

We have so much to work with but could we be too scared to get to the next step? Are you scared of standing out for your own achievements so instead you bury them so that you do not stand out but fit in!

Fit into what?

What are you fitting into? How dare you just try to hide and bury all you have to fit in!

Get out of your back side, and while you're at it replace your grey and black suits with hot colorful ensembles and stand out! Some of these things only come once in a lifetime and if you do not take it and run with it then, you might as well go back and sit on your back side!

Believing you are worth it can be so hard sometimes coz failure gets in the way y'know?
What happens if you go after you're dream and it doesn't work out?

First of all, of you chase your dream and it doesn't work out - maybe you need a different dream, or a little more confidence. Just saying.

Uh - first of all this had better not be a dig at me... Second of all, there are loads of people whose dream doesn't work out, even though they put their all in it. That famous painter died poor but his paintings go for millions now - so what happened there?

Guys, let me just say hi. My name is Scholastica, and I just wanted to contribute to this discussion. Faith you know things are not always so clear cutter. Sometimes, people plough the land and get no fruits like Evans our brother is saying.

Auntie, (Scholastica) - you're on a blog not an extra on Oprah lol! you don't need to introduce yourself, we can see your name on the post you wrote!!!

Also I think the expression is 'clear cut'- for a girl whose name is associated with education....

Anywho, guys ce n'est pas grave - resilience for when the ploughing doesn't bring in the crops, and for goodness sake failure is relative. Don't take your ego so seriously Evans.

Just because a bunch of people or whatever don't see what you can do, doesn't mean you're incapable. Just find a place where you are appreciated as you are period!

This post reminds me of an episode on Lost where Jack tries to go back to the island that he so desperately wanted to leave. Basically, when we strive for a better life, in general we tend to forget to appreciate the experiences and the moments.

We cheat ourselves into believing that our salvation will come in the future when we are a better version of ourselves, so maybe our responsibility is to be great every single day of our lives, so it doesn't become this monumental, overwhelming future task that we end up sabotaging.

Anyway... The truth is I have a mountain of work to finish but I'm online typing this - I fought so hard for the opp to get this internship, and now...I can't even motivate myself to turn in my assignment that's due in today. Once a week I have to submit something and I find it harder and harder to do every week. What's wrong with me?

Faith, dear - it's not that serious, there are parts of any job we don't like to do, doesn't mean you need a session of soul searching and extreme introspection! What is wrong with you?

Laziness mixed with self doubt. It's not that you're unmotivated, you're just putting so much pressure on yourself to be the idea of a good intern that you can't even focus on enjoying what you're doing.

Go out for a walk, come back and work at the thing for 15 mins at a time with full concentration , you'll be done in no time. Now go!

I should get paid for this Dr Phil stuff.

Hello Evans,
There is no way you can pursue your dream and lose in the end. So if you have not started dreaming, start now!

Unfortunate for the painter who died poor, but at least his paintings were sold for the millions they were worth! His dream did not die, he physically died!

Josephine,
Yes, i AGREE WITH YOU! You have to be alert and ready to breakthrough every day of your life! You have to treat it like the last for you to enjoy and maximize on your being when you are still alive. .....So that you do not end up making more profit in your value when you are dead!

ROGER THAT!
